The Troop provides all the equipment for camping. Scouts only need to purchase a water bottle or canteen, a mess kit, a sleeping bag or sleeping mat, a backpack, and any personal gear.
Troop 99's leadership team encourages parents to get involved with their Scout and the Troop. Experience shows that this makes scouting a much more enjoyable time for both the Scout and the parent.
Youth Protection Training (YPT) is an online training coarse administered by the Boy Scouts of America. All registered adults must take
YPT every two years in order to participate in our outdoor activities. Troop 99 also encourages adults to take additional training to support the Troop and its programs.
Yes, Troop 99 consists of four patrols. Each patrol has their own camping and cooking equipment that they are responsible. Also, each year patrols set their own goals that they expect to complete.
